Opening of the Russian National Exhibition in Beijing

On November 8 of this year, Russian National Exhibition was opened in Peking (China). The Exhibition is one of the major events intended for the final part of the extensive program designed for the Russian Year in Chinese People’s Republic.

Fourth award ceremony of GEP to be held on June 13 in St. Petersburg

The solemn ceremony of prize award “Global energy” of 2006 will take place on June 13 on the day of opening of X Economical forum in LenExpo. The award of Global Energy International prize is natural integral part and logical continuation of Saint-Petersburg Forum.

The Expert Commission presents to the International Committee the five scientific projects

The Expert Board of “Global Energy” International Power Industry Prize nominated five papers on research developments and discoveries, as made in power and power industry, before “Global Energy” Prize Awarding International Committee in 2006. The final decision to this effect was made at the final sitting of the Expert Board on March 9. Therefore, results of the first stage of “Global Energy” Prize research contest for 2006 were summarized.


1st February

Russian-German cooperation in the field of energy resources

On February 20-21, 2006 in Russian House of Science and Culture in Berlin the round table will be conducted on “Russian-German cooperation in the sphere of Energy resources”. The round table will be organized by the representative office of Russian Center for International Scientific and Cultural Cooperation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation in Germany.

Nominations for the 2006 GEP now closed

On February 1 the reception of materials from those persons eligible for nomination had stopped. In 2005 nomination questionnaires were sent to 32 countries of the world. 516 specialists in the sphere of power engineering had the chance to participate in the process on candidate nomination worldwide.
