The “Global Energy” Non-Profit Partnership congratulates all workers of the Energy Industry of Russia with professional holiday which is celebrated today, on the 22nd of December.
It has been 12 years since the first award ceremony of the Global Energy Prize. Over the years, 31 scientists from 10 countries have won this prestigious Prize, awarded by the President of Russia. The XIII Nomination cycle, which started in September 2014, is expected to not only bring new names in the galaxy of outstanding laureates, but become a breakthrough in its history.
Today, December 10th, the Global Energy Prize team led by its President Igor Lobovsky took part in the 9th International Energy Week, which was opened by a plenary session called “The global economy and domestic energy. Forecasts, problems and solutions”. The “Global Energy” Partnership is one of the co-organizers of the forum.

On the 2nd of December the award ceremony of the 11th All-Russian Contest of Youth scientific projects in the field of energy "The Energy of Youth" was held in Presidium of Russian Academy of Science. Teams of researchers from Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, and Barnaul received RUB 1 mln. each for the continuation of their studies.

On the 2nd of December the award ceremony of the 11th All-Russian Contest of Youth scientific projects in the field of energy "The Energy of Youth" will be held in Moscow. Teams of researchers from Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, and Barnaul will receive RUB 1 mln. each for the continuation of their studies. Their development will solve the issue of energy supply in remote areas of the North, allow the usage of low-quality fuels without any harm to the environment and protect humanity from electromagnetic radiation.
Today, on November 11th, the winners of the 11th All-Russian Contest of Youth Scientific Projects in the field of energy “Energy of Youth” were declared in Moscow. The Expert Commission has chosen three scientists who will get grants RUB 1 million each for the implementation of a further research. This year’s winners come from Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk and Barnaul.

Today, October 17, the 2014 Global Energy Prize Laureate Ashot Sarkisov has donated a portion of his monetary prize to charity. Нe granted gymnasium №1 named after AS Pushkin with a sum of RUB 2 millions. It happened in a solemn ceremony of the school the famous scientist had studied in.
On October 11th, “Global Energy” Non-Profit Partnership took part in All-Russian Science Festival, held in the library of the Moscow State University. The main topic of the panel discussion was to discuss whether there is a future for energy without hydrocarbons. The chief expert on the subject was Tatiana Mitrova, a member of the Global Energy Prize International Award Committee, a recognized expert on the development of global energy markets and export-import policy of Russia.

In the course of seven days a group of cyclists was travelling across Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro and Albania.
On September 1 the Global Energy Prize announces the beginning of the application period for the “Energy of Youth” contest. The winner of this All-Russian contest will be awarded 1 mln rubles grant for further research. Russian scientists from all regions not older than 35 years are welcomed to introduce their energy projects until November 1.

Today, on May 30, the Global Energy Prize delegation led by the president Igor Lobovskiy visited the formal opening of the Second All-Russian Championship’s on solving cases in mining final. The official Global Energy Prize award ceremony took place today on the 23rd of May in St. Petersburg. The awards were presented to the Laureates by the President of Rosneft during the St. Petersburg Economic Forum.
Today, on May 22, Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum hosted the Global Energy Prize press conference on XXI Century global energy trends. Energy innovations, as well as global energy challenges were the main topic of the event.

A young scientist from Saint-Petersburg Dmitry Malevskiy, research fellow at the The Ioffe Physical Technical Institute, won the All-Russian Contest of implemented scientific projects in energy field. Talented scientists from 16 Russian regions took part in the contest. Most of the projects were devoted to electrical energy industry (26%) and renewable energy (37%).
Precisely in a month, on May 23, the XII awarding ceremony of the Global Energy Prize laureates – professor Lars Gunnar Larsson and academician Ashot Arakelovich Sarkisov is to take place in Saint Petersburg. The scientists will be awarded by the President of Russian Federation for their outstanding contribution to the nuclear safety enhancement and nuclear facility decommissioning.

On March 28th the Global Energy Prize Laureate Thorsteinn Ingi Sigfusson (Iceland) delivered a lecture at Moscow State University. Professor Sigfusson surprised the audience not only by his knowledge in renewable energy. The scientist expressed his deep respect and warm attitude to Russian colleagues and emphasized that Russia should be very proud of the scientists’ achievements in energy, physics and chemical engineering.
