Due to the contestants' numerous requests, the "Global Energy" Partnership management decided to extend the application period to April 13, 2014. On March 28th the Global Energy Prize Laureate Thorsteinn Ingi Sigfusson (Iceland) delivered a lecture at Moscow State University. Professor Sigfusson surprised the audience not only by his knowledge in renewable energy. The scientist expressed his deep respect and warm attitude to Russian colleagues and emphasized that Russia should be very proud of the scientists’ achievements in energy, physics and chemical engineering.
On March 27th one of the most important events in energy field took place in Moscow. During the official press conference at ITAR TASS Press Centre Chairman of Global Energy International Award Committee Mr. Rodney John Allam announced the names of the Global Energy Prize laureates 2014. Professor Lars Gunnar Larsson (Sweden) and academician Ashot Arakelovich Sarkisov (Russia) have become the Global Energy Prize Laureates 2014.
Оn March 26th the president of “ Science Council for Global Initiatives”, Global Energy International Award Committee member Mr. Thomas Albert Blees delivered a lecture at Moscow Engineering and Physics Institute in the framework of “Global Energy” Non-Profit partnership program “Energy of knowledge”.
On March 27th in ITAR-TASS press-centre (Moscow) the Global Energy Prize laureates will be announced. This independent scientific award symbolizes the acknowledgement of significant contribution to energy research and development, as well as global energy problems solutions.
On March 17th and 19th the "Global Energy" Non-profit partnership president Igor Lobovskiy delivered a lecture for the students of the MBA program "International Oil and Gas Business" (MGIMO School of business and international competencies).

The event was organized by International Association of Corporate Education in the framework of exhibition and conference Russia Power/HydroVision Russia.
