The Global Energy Prize laureate Fhilipp Rutberg died at the age of 84

The Global Energy Prize laureate, RAS academician, Director of the Institute for Electrophysics and Electric Power in died in St Petersburg at the age of 84.

“Global Energy, Non-Profit Partnership expresses condolence to his family and friends.

“- We mourn about this loss. Doctor Rutberg is really a outstanding scientist and the author of the most important scientific findings”. – declares the Partnership’s President Igor Lobovsky. – “He was acknowledged by the Global Energy Prize in 2011 for fundamental research and development of energy plasma technologies. Special equipment and technologies for processing of municipal waste developed by the scientist give our society the opportunity to possess clean energy. For example, a 30000-population city can be self-sufficient in heat and partially in electricity. That’s unbelievable. Of course, Fhillip Rutberg’s death is a great loss: for our Partnership, for the Global Energy Prize and for the whole humankind in general.”
