Global laureate at WFES: world-class partnerships to build long-term sustainable solutions

The Global Energy Prize laureate, Shuji Nakamura, will share his exceptional view on creating world-class partnerships between research industry, government and academia to build long-term sustainable solutions. He will present it during the 2016 World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi.

Translating knowledge into innovation is crucial for economic competitiveness and addressing our shared climate challenge - providing affordable and reliable energy for everyone and ensuring energy security. Yet transforming scientific research into commercial clean energy remains a complex process involving a broad range of stakeholders. So what collaborative and successful partnerships can deliver? This will become one of the hot topics of the WFES`s conference program.

As a reminder, the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) is the Middle East’s and Sub Saharan’s most influential event dedicated to advancing future energy, energy efficiency and clean technology. It cultivates a much-needed dialogue between critical stakeholders, from Heads of States, Governments, Academia and the Business and Financial communities.

In the event’s 9th year, the Global Energy Prize laureate will share his experience on lightening the world in a groundbreaking and sustainable way. His panel session and personal on-stage interview is scheduled for January 20, 2016.

Note that Shuji Nakamura received the 2015 Global Energy Prize for the invention, commercialization and development of energy-efficient white LED lighting technology.
