The Global Energy Prize annually honors outstanding achievements in energy research and technology from around the world that are helping address the world’s various and pressing energy challenges.

The Global Energy Prize stand is the center of economic forecasts

Today the Global Energy Prize stand at SPIEF-2016 for several hours has become the center of economic forecasts. It hosted a Foresight session organized together with Higher School of Economics. The Nobel Prize laureates (Rodney John Allam, Rae Kwon Chung, Christopher Pissarides, Riccardo Valentini) and The Global Energy Prize laureate Klaus Riedle participated in it. Ozcan Saritas, Senior Research Fellow, professor of business and innovation, was moderating the discussion.

During the foresight the participants were defining Global Challenges at the Energy -Environment -Economy nexus, Future scenarios and priorities, Drivers, barriers and dilemmas for a more sustainable environment, economy and society, Prospects for a new social and economic order as well as the role of science and innovations to address challenges and create new opportunities.

The result of the Foresight session will be published very soon - after all the collected data is processed by Higher School of Economics.
